Triumph uses the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to verify the compatibility of the part or accessory with the bike. Specifically, the last 6 digits of the VIN are relevant. The VIN can be found in various places, usually on a label attached to the bike, stamped on the frame, or in the documentation provided with the bike.
Keep in mind that the part or accessory may only be compatible with bikes up to a certain VIN number (> 123456), within a certain VIN range (123456 > 987654), or from a certain VIN number (123456 >). Make sure to check your bike’s VIN before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
